The main purpose of this research focuses on how the emotions, thoughts and behaviors that prevent women from participating in the workforce are shaped depending on factors such as age and marital status, and what the experiences of these women are. In the study, the participation of women in the Turkish labor market and the obstacles they face are discussed in detail. The research was created by random sampling method using a quantitative research model. Thus, 222 individuals over the age of 18 and under the age of 60, with varying characteristics such as different age groups, education levels, occupational groups, and residing in different geographical regions, were included in the sample. In the research, it was clearly observed that women are relegated to the background in business life and that they do not receive fair treatment. While young participants emphasized the difficulty of finding a job and personal preferences among the reasons why women do not participate in the workforce; Older participants stated that this situation was more related to family responsibilities. In addition, it is clear that women who wish to join the workforce but cannot benefit from this opportunity for various reasons demand support. In this context, it is of great importance to develop inclusive policies for women who do not participate in the workforce and to develop programs that will support the more active participation of these women in the workforce.
